People Inspiring People
When we founded Greenhouse CIC in 2016, we knew we had the potential to change hundreds of people’s lives.
Working with people who might struggle to find employment the traditional way, we train them in hospitality skills so they are equipped for modern, face-paced work environments.
It started with just one cafe in Eastwood Health and Care Centre, Clarkston. But three years and a lot of hard work later, we’re now in six sites across Glasgow city and the southern area.
The more sites we open and the more projects we engage in, the more people we can reach out to and give life-changing skills to our trainees to become independent and fully integrated members of society.
We don’t take any of this for granted. It’s down to the hard work and dedication of our amazing team. Every day they mentor people with a diverse array of needs including Downs Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Global Developmental Delay.
We’ve partnered with local and national business along the way to support our trainees into their new careers. We’ve made connections with like-minded organisations and set ourselves to the highest standards available through SQA accreditation.
Every time you buy a coffee from a Greenhouse cafe, you’re helping change someone’s life.
